Joined the Army in January 1962 as 17th Intake Army Apprentice. Discharged in January 1971 with the rank of Corporal.
Served 3 years at Army Apprentices School, Balcombe and 1 year at Apprentices Wing, School of Military Engineering, Casula and qualified as Carpenter & Joiner – ECN 072.
Served in the following units – 21 Const Sqn (Puckapunyal, Vic), 22 Const Sqn (Karrakatta, WA) and 17 Const Sqn, (Vung Tau, SVN).
Served overseas in Sabah, Borneo, December 1965 – December 1966 and Vietnam, February 1968 – February 1969.
Joined RAE Association of WA in 19?? and elected Treasurer in 2018.
